Located in upstate New York, this one-room library-slash-guest house is exactlywhere we want to spend the chillier months, curled up with a book and a mug of something steamy.
Created by Studio Padron, the black wood-clad library was built from mature oak felled during the construction of the main vacation house.
On the inside, space between the logs create nooks for books on all four walls. The only other furnishings are a bed, chair, desk, and a wood-burning stove.
This minimalist space has been nicknamed Hemmelig Rom (“secret room” in Norwegian) and we can see why they’d want to keep it a secret—those guests are definitely not leaving after staying here.
