Athletic retailer Under Armour has teamed up with hotel brand Residence Inn to provide running routes for guests to enjoy during their stay. The new series of custom routes can be accessed from each of Residence Inn’s 700 properties across nine countries. A curated two-mile or longer running route is offered to help guests stay active while they are traveling. They provide an outdoor workout alternative so guests can maximize their time and keep up their fitness routines when they’re not at home.
Residence Inn is committed to ensuring its guests make the most of their time and believe this partnership will help their customers thrive during longer stays. Some of the routes provide views of the best sights in the area, such as top tourist attractions and landmarks, which could prove useful for business travelers who have limited time to explore.

Guests traveling to New York City can enjoy the route from the Residence Inn World Trade location which takes them past the new One World Trade Center, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House in Battery Park. People heading to the recently opened Residence Inn Chicago Downtown/Loop can explore the Windy City’s central bustling business district and Millennium Park.
Warren Kay, Vice President, Advertising for Under Armour Connected Fitness, said in a press release:
“Our mission is to empower athletes everywhere, and through this partnership and our fitness tracking apps and websites, we can provide personalized workout recommendations to Residence Inn guests, encouraging them to stay active even while traveling”.
The running routes are available through Under Armour’s MapMyFitness tracking app, which can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices.
