Stackable Zero-Energy Homes

The '#150 Skilpod' is a Stackable Prefab Home for Eco-Friendly Living

The #150 Skilpod is the latest ecologically conscious prefab home design from Skilpod, a Belgian company that designs and builds prefab housing out of cross laminated timber. While Skilpod has designed several prefab, zero-energy homes in the past, the #150 Skilpod is unique in that it can stand alone as a single family dwelling, or it can be stacked to form larger zero-energy apartment complexes.

The #150 Skilpod is one of the larger modules that the company offers. Their catalog ranges from 30 square meters to 150 square meters, and the #150 Skilpod gets its name from that size.

The prefab homes are built in Geel, Belgium, at Skilpod’s headquarters, before being transported to their final destinations in three pieces. The assembly of the houses takes approximately four weeks.
